The EPAFOS Management team is devoted to the efficient operation and ongoing enhancement of its Quality Management System for Health and Safety in the Workplace.

EPAFOS Management is committed to the effective operation and continuous improvement of its Quality Management System for Health and Safety in the Workplace, in accordance with:

  • the requirements of the international standard ISO 45001:2018,
  • current legislative and regulatory requirements,
  • its business objectives, and
  • the requirements of its customers, as well as all interested parties associated with them.

At EPAFOS, we understand that ensuring safe, healthy working conditions is of the utmost importance. By applying the international standard ISO 45001, we are able to take advantage of globally-recognised methods for assessing and addressing the risks that arise in the workplace.

Effective implementation of the standard is a shared responsibility. All employees, regardless of their level or previous experience, must be aware of the latest requirements and have proper training in the application of the principles and guidelines in order to contribute positively to the overall outcome.

Our objectives include:

  • effectively implementing  legislation,
  • early identification of health and safety risks and responding to them in an effective manner,
  • providing and maintening a working environment free from health and safety risks (as far as technically feasible),
  • providing and maintening safe equipment, facilities, and working systems,
  • ensuring safe use and safe storage conditions for equipment and merchandise,
  • providing appropriate facilities for the well-being of employees and
  • providing any information, training, education or supervision necessary to protect people from risks to their health and safety arising from work activities.

In addition to their rights, employees also have responsibilities. They must therefore:

  • take reasonable care of their own health and safety,
  • take due care of the work they do,
  • comply with instructions,
  • report all incidents or near misses immediately, no matter how insignifican they may seem, and
  • participate in consultation with management to identify, assess and control the risks, and to ensure the effectiveness of the controls in question.
